Aisha Hinds

Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actress best famous for her appearances on TV's "The Shield" as well as "True Blood'. Since her debut in 2003 Aisha J. Hinds has shown her range in acting by delivering outstanding performances in the television shows like "9-1-1," "Detroit 18-7', and Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was for her character Anna in the film "Assault On Precinct13". But it was her performance as women's rights advocate Fannie Lou Hamer in the biographical film "All the Way" that finally brought her recognition as an actor. Hind's performance as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's"Underground," a period drama, was also highly-acclaimed. She currently stars on the procedural drama series '9-1-1' in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta "Hen" Wilson. The series has been renewed for a third season from 20th Century Fox Television.
