Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef personality. She also was an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde hair and an ebullient personality, explains how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality at home, using easy methods. Chef Burrell has worked in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary traditions and landscape. She also competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step after she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most enjoyable time of my life. I could not learn or do enough. Following graduation of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and chef Burrell took a full year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate the Italian philosophy and culture, and has made an impression on her food and culinary experience. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten children living with obstacles and is also a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. Burrell travels extensively across the nation in her capacity in the capacity of mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne has said throughout her professional career that she feels so fortunate to communicate with people what is truly important for her.
